Botox® Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical
procedure that smooths the deep persistent lines between your
brows that developed over time. Botox® Cosmetic has been
approved by the FDA for its cosmetic use to reduce the appearance
of lines, wrinkles and furrows. Botox® Cosmetic is a natural,
purified protein produced by the Clostridium
botulinum bacteria intended to block the activity
of muscles contributing to the formation of wrinkles, lines
and furrows on your brow and around your eyes. Very low doses
of Botox® Cosmetic are administered through several tiny
injections directly into the overactive muscles that cause
lines to form. The effects of Botox® Cosmetic are not
permanent and it does not remain in your body indefinitely.
You will need to follow up with additional injections approximately
every four to six months, everyone is a little different.
