The goal of breast reconstruction is to create a soft, natural
looking breast. A breast may need reconstruction for several
reasons including, but not limited to a mastectomy, either
immediately or at a later time, or repairing a congenital
malformity. Women who loose a breast to cancer often struggle
with a multitude of issues. Fortunately, breast reconstruction
is an option that not only helps restore a woman’s breast,
but also her self-confidence.
There are multiple procedures to consider when contemplating
breast reconstruction. These procedures would best be discussed
during your consultation. Dr. Bittar will discuss all your
options and help you decide what procedure will best fit your
particular situation. Insurance sometimes covers the cost
or portion thereof, for reconstruction.
