Collagen is a form of protein that is used to fill in smile lines, the nasolabial folds, wrinkles in the corner of your mouth, as well as frown lines and deep lines in the upper and lower lip. It is also used to fill in thin lips. Skin testing is required to identify any allergic reaction to collagen. Collagen is not a permanent solution and will require additional injections over a period of time, approximately every four to six months. Dr. Bittar will discuss all possible options with you during your consultation and determine if collagen will give you the results you desire.
